Mr. Edward Sakala is Executive Director for the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ). He is a qualified leadership and management expert with a strong legal background. He attended on-job trainings at the Law Society of England, and Law Society of Scotland where he was exposed to management biased to running legal institutions. He has also acquired specialized legal trainings facilitated by the Canadian Bar Association at Legal Resource Centre of South Africa, International Bar Association’s (IBA) Human Rights Institute, Linnaeus University, Sweden and the National University of Ireland.

Mr. Sakala is the receipt of inaugural honoree of the LexisNexis/International Institute of Law Association Chief Executive (CEO) Global Award and he has also held a Commonwealth Scholarship.

Mr. Sakala has served at the senior management level in various capacities in carrying out both national and international assignments. He is also a fellow in management and leadership and holds specialized qualifications in Human Resource Management, Policy Development, Project Management, Public Relations, Media, Corporate Governance and Leadership.
