Council Member

Edwina Mazunda

Edwina is the Co-Founder of a mentorship website for lawyers called Dear Rookie Advocate (www.dearrookieadvocate.com) aimed at bringing upcoming lawyers professional advice from those older in the profession through articles on various subjects.

She is a skilled corporate lawyer and litigator with experience in legal drafting, civil litigation, dispute resolution, conveyancing and local government law.

At 4 years at the Zambian bar, Edwina led a committee of junior lawyers of the Law Association of Zambia to prison visits, and the committee was instrumental in the formulation of the Association’s Mentorship and Ssexual Harassment policies. She also served as editor of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association Africa Hub newsletter for four years.

Edwina believes she does not need a title to lead, and will volunteer her services wherever they are needed. Currently, she serves as a Council Member of the Law Association of Zambia.

Outside of the legal profession, Edwina also served as the chairperson of the Toastmasters International Southern Africa Ethics Committee for two years.
